Sambuca

A classic shot that to be had on a night out; for some it’s a definite go-to and for others it’s a ‘never touching again’ shot, after having one too many once upon a time.

Sambuca is an anise flavoured liqueur that’s got a liquorice-like character. It’s usually clear but other varieties include black sambuca and red sambuca, which are coloured. It’s popular to set alight and have as a flaming sambuca, but also can be shotted as it is.

There’s also a well known garage song named after Sambuca, which we’re sure you have stuck in your head now.
