Mac-Talla Terra Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl
Terra in Gaelic stands for earth, in this case, the peat on Islay which is so much a part of this whisky. It's a NAS bottling by Morrison Distillers, part of their Mac-Tall range, and is bottled at 46% ABV
A great whisky to start exploring Islay drams, this is not overly peaty with a nose of oak and vanilla, some can detect cherries and saline aromas. On the tongue, there's pleasant smoke again with vanilla and perhaps some almond, very pleasant.
