Otterbeck Distillery Gins

Set amongst the breathtaking moors and farmland of the Yorkshire Dales lies the Otterbeck Distillery; a small business made up of friends Geri, Nicola and Alexa. After a New Year’s Eve where many gins were consumed, the group had an idea to create their own gins, knowing they had the benefits of the Yorkshire Dales to source local and fresh botanical ingredients to use.

For over 200 years there has been a beautiful five storey cotton and silk mill on the banks of the River Aire, which is powered by a small steam engine and water wheel. The group took inspiration from the cotton mill and wanted it to be a part of their brand and history, and from that came their Cotton Gin.

Their gins are distilled in their hand-engineered 450 litre copper still, named Eliza after the mill owner’s wife.

The friends have created a small but wonderful range of gins that boast elegance and purity… we absolutely love them here at Barber & Bennett.
