White Rum

White rum is very different from other rums as it’s almost always unaged, as maturing the rum is what gives darker colours. Usually clean, crisp and with a touch of citrus, white rums are a great base for cocktails or highball mixer drinks, as they’re not complex enough to be drunk solo.

Coconut white rums, such as Malibu, are a flavoured version of white rum, whereas Bacardi Carta Blanca is a classic example of a clean, clear white rum.
