Slingsby Spirits

Slingsby, the Spirit of Harrogte takes its name and inspiration from William Slingsby, who discovered the unique properties of the natural spring water from Harrogate’s Tewit Well in 1571, which brought attention the area and turning Harrogate into a spa town.

Fast forward to 2014 where Marcus Black and Mike Carthy founded Slingsby, the Spirit of Harrogate. They started by making a London Dry Gin - 18 different variants and 15 months of development later and the final product was complete.

Slingsby use up to 24 botanicals including primrose, nettle, rhubarb and local green and jasmine tea. A further 12 botanicals are sourced from the kitchen garden of Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate. Slingsby also use the spring water from the mineral springs of Harrogate’s Valley Gardens.

Now Slingsby have a range of flavoured gins, as well as their London Dry and they have also produced a wonderful vodka too, which is great on its own or with a Mixer.
