Tennesse Whiskey

Tennessee whiskeys are full of character, with typical whiskey-smokiness, toasty oak flavours and a little sweetness. To be classed as a Tennessee whiskey, the whiskey needs to be produced in… you guessed it… Tennessee and is required by Tennessee law to use a filtering step known as the Lincoln County Process which is where the whiskey is steeped in or filtered through charcoal chips before going into the casks for ageing.

The most well-known brand of Tennessee whiskey is Jack Daniel’s.
