A maritime and peaty single malt aged for fourteen years in oak casks, the flagship offering from Clynelish, it has a nice rounded flavour profile with waxy notes for which it is recognised.
Clynelish is the successor to Brora which closed in 1983, it draws its water from the Clynemilton Burn and uses barley malted in the Northern Highlands.
An excellent dram, especially with a drop of water whi ch adds a new dimension.
