Craigellachie 17 Years Aged Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 70cl
In 2014 Craigellachie started their core range and one of them was their 17-year-old expression. This is a very good example of what the distillery is capable of producing.
Matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, before half of the mix is finished in first-fill sherry casks and the rest in first-fill bourbon casks. This is Craigellachie at its best.
Faint vanilla aromas mixed with treacle and toffee with an oily mouthfeel that has a touch of dark chocolate and warm spice. A splendid finish lingering with ginger hints and more spice.
