A fantastic Shiraz with a wonderful story. Accountant Gary McPherson was the last person to find out about this award-winning wine as he would never have sanctioned the cost of the French oak barrels used to make the finished product, hence the name of the wine.
A rich dark garnet colour, full-bodied with notes of black cherry, blueberry and mixed spice. An oaky aroma adds to the pleasure. This is an outstanding Shiraz from McPherson wines and goes really well with steak, meat pies, cheese and charcuterie.
