Sempé was founded in 1934 and this offering is a classic VSOP blend, with a base of Armagnac cask-aged for four years, blended with older vintages from Bas Armagnac growers,
Armagnac unlike cognac is only distilled once and then aged in oak.
Sempe VSOP Bas Armagnac has a wonderful nose of dried fruit, prunes and orange peel and is best enjoyed neat at room temperature.
